Foundry Un-released "Dark Age" Germans
« on: July 28, 2014, 08:38:06 PM »
I have put some pics of the packs I bought during a recent visit to Foundry on my blog, together with some comparisons with Gripping Beast and Musketeer together with a figure from the earlier Foundry Late Roman range.

Thanks for sharing. Always looking for usable civilians.

Thanks for the size comparison :-)
They have some of the packs listed on eBay, on their 'Casting room miniatures' account for those that want to see some more of the figures.

Wasn't aware of these figures until now! They look rather nice.

Thanks for the size comparison. They go well together.

Thanks, Phil, they're looking rather nice, indeed, and I never noticed them. Are they available to buy in the meantime? Or is it just another set of nice minis which was made ages ago and won't ever be sold regularly?

There were racks of them on sale in the factory shop, also Han Chinese too. Give them a call, I'm sure Shaun will help you spend some money!

If folk buy them I can't imagine they will not continue to cast them. Has I said on  the blog I am baffled to why they are not sold openly. See Dave's blog for more comments on their current apparently back to the future approach.

Thanks for the reply Phil.

I have already spend to much on the hobby this month, otherwise I would probably by a pack of each. I guess I could stretch to buying a couple of packs now though and the rest later  :?

I'm kinda interested in a few. esp. theose Trojans. Not sure if I like them or it is just my rabid collector-it is. The sculpting really isn't all that great on a lot of things...

A lot of them look to be Copplestone sculpts that have been altered.

They will be original figures but using Dollies, probably made by Mark, as the basis for the figure. That is how many ranges are made, not just by Foundry.
