I've wanted to get my hands on that dragon for a while, but I'm hmming and haaing over getting it in metal or bones. I really don't like bendy vinyl, and didn't like it in a couple of bones skellies I once bought, but I wonder if it'll be fine in larger models like that. And the price point is definitely more appealing.

The fishman is a Julie Guthrie sculpt too, isn't it? Must try to pick that up too.

And they're still brilliantly painted. ;)

The Bones material is 10x better for large creatures.  It's not bendy at all unless you have really small thin stuff.  I also don't buy tiny figures in the Bones material if I can avoid it.  The larger stuff is really quite good though, and for the cost...you can try it and if you don't like it, you didn't lose much.  :D

Vermis,

The metal version is better, there is no doubt. The wings are really flexible, which is disconcerting as the bendiness means plastic dinosaur from the toy store to my hands. It is not bad though, just a strange feeling. The metal one is in the $30 USD range while the bones is $10 though, so there is that to consider.

The fishman is a Julie Guthrie sculpt, as is the snakeman. They are very clean sculpts and are nice in that material. The fishman is really good for having thin parts. The snakeman swords are really flexible.

When you put them in a display cabinet though, they look almost like metal minis. And for gaming, they are going to be very forgiving to clumsy players. I am still not sold on them completely, but I am rapidly losing my prejudice about the material.

Fantastic work - especially the reds on the dragon, and the eyes on the fishman and snakeman; they look amazing. :-*
