Got mine also, and I thought you might appreciate that I'm making something out of it using the packaging it was sent in ;-)

Great - you deserve a prize.

Can anyone else beat this for practicality?

I do kind of wish there was a list of what projects were in both books...mainly because a lot of terrain options depends on what you're building for.

Well, the blog post I linked to above contains a photo of the table of contents for book 2 if that's of any help.

I do kind of wish there was a list of what projects were in both books...mainly because a lot of terrain options depends on what you're building for.

As the author I sometimes feel that I am being compared to a multi-national gaming concern. The fact is that Book one was written in direct response to a great number of modellers asking for more information and tutorials after some of my models had appeared in print and on the Net.

Remember this is a One-Man-Band. With support from my daughter in the formatting and proof-reading and computer support from my son. None of this would be possible without the support from my Wife.

Building Wargame Terrain is a very specialised guide, which I hope passes on some of the techniques I have both learnt and use to produce my own wargame terrain. Book Two More Wargame Terrain was me expanding on books one and including more complicated or detailed builds and tutorials.

I sold out of the first 100 signed and numbered books, selling them at a cost that I felt was reasonable and one that covered my costs with a small profit - which was in turn then invested back into book two. I would hope that any profits from book two will be ploughed back into a possible book three.

Throughout all of this work, I have tried to keep the number of images and content OFF THE WEB, knowing that if anything should sneak out then sales might be compromised. Maybe short-sighted, but this is how I have felt. The same goes for the many requests for a PDF version.

Earlier this week David (Iron Mammoth was kind enough to write a short review you can see it here;
http://ironmammoth.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/more-wargame-terrain-by-tony-harwood.html

You can also see a quick Flick Through (also by David) here;

Thank you David.

Later still another firm supporter Christian at Cianty's Tabletop Wargames wrote another review which can be found here;
http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/review-more-wargame-terrain-by-tony.html

So in answer to your query, why no list of projects?
The answer is simple. I'm no computer wizard. In fact I'm a bit of a dinosaur and I need my Friend, yes I think of people who have bought my book as Friends, to help with the posting of advertising and showing what is included. Actually the same was true of Book One, see links on my Blog for details.

Having produced so many articles (again, see my Blog for details) - I do find it odd when people ask what is included in these books? Anyone of my hundreds of followers will tell you exactly what to expect from my articles/tutorials or books.

As at today's date 50 of the LIMITED EDITION books have already been allocated - they are running out fast - very fast and when they are gone there are only a few spares left (even less of the Building Wargame Terrain re-print).

Finally, once again thank you to everyone who has supported me in the production of these books. I am pleased that so many have written to say how much they have enjoyed them. Maybe a book three next year?

As a lover of building terrain I bought the books regardless of their content, your blog has been an inspiration and I wanted a hardcopy of it, I was not disappointed. Thanks for ensuring I got the same edition of each :-) I'll reserve #19 of book 3 now please :D

Still not found a source of plasticard though, that's my greatest bugbear!

Well, I suppose one could make a piece of terrain using the cover and pages of the actual books, but that would be a bit of a waste.  ;)

I have just received my copy and I must say it is excellent.

As alluded to by Tony above, there are limitations when this is being done by a one man operation (along with the wife!) but this really is a top class book.

It also fills a gap in the market, I think, now that companies like GW have largely switched from articles on how to build terrain to marketing of their plastic kits, this sort of book is a welcome addition to the bookshelf next to Nigel Stillman's "How to make Wargames Terrain" from the 1990s.

Thank you,Tony. I consider the book to have been money well-spent, and I would certainly buy ther 3rd if and when.
