A Vital Bridgehead - WotR AAR
« on: August 01, 2014, 09:47:04 AM »
Hi,

our biggest battle so far: Another go at a Grant/Asquith scenario, adapted for the Wars of the Roses. The Yorkists had to evacuate a baggage train from a village while the Lancastarians attacked in force.

For a detailed report and more pictures, see http://wargamingraft.wordpress.com/2014/08/01/a-vital-bridgehead/

Cheers,
Shandy

A great scenario. What rules are you using? you mention Big Men, so it it the Sharp Practice WotR variant?

Thanks! Yes, we use the Sharp Practice WotR variant, which can be found in the 2013 TFL Summer Special. Here's a description of my adaptations: http://wargamingraft.wordpress.com/2014/01/18/my-wotr-adaptations-to-sharp-practice/

Oh, Robin Hood sounds like great fun! The adaptation you have seen could have been Silver Whistle's, he started the whole thing & deserves all the credit. Also, his set up looks far better than mine: http://wargamingwithsilverwhistle.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/war-of-roses-sharp-practice-game.html
