WWI Color test for AEF
« on: August 07, 2008, 02:30:55 AM »
So far I only got one American WWI figure so I decide to dig it out of the lead pile and have a try at painting it. It’s suppose to represent the Khaki uniform of the Army, not the greener tone of the Marines Corps…

Here are two photos…

What you think of the colors? Do it look right to you?

Cheers!  ;)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

I think the colors look really good, although i don't have too much experience with AEF uniforms.  Do you mind sharing the formula?

One thing I'd change:  the boots and gun stock are too bright!  Try putting a dark brown wash (maybe even a dash of green in the wash) to cool them down a bit.

Can't wait to see more!
