Greetings from Essex
« on: August 02, 2014, 05:01:25 PM »
Hi all, I followed the predictable pattern of lurking here for a while and have now decided to join and post my introduction. I'm a 40-something gamer who favours the painting and modelling side of our pursuit.
Given enough time and money I would gladly collect every genre, period and scale. As a result I am always starting new stuff before I've completed the previous project.
I have a small blog at:
http://carpetgeneral.blogspot.com
And I am returning to the hobby after a bit of a break. Projects currently on my lead/plastic pile of shame include some fantasy Reaper bits, some 6mm GZG Scifi stuff and some Perry/Victrix Napoleonics.
Looking forward to seeing all the bits and pieces you're all working on and taking a bit of inspiration (basically nicking all your great ideas).

Cheers Geoff

Hi there and welcome. Nice blog there and I love the name. Good to see someone else working in the big scales. I am currently building up ACW armies in 54mm, and it's great fun. Love the Rifles sculpts, look loads of fun. Yopu have very likely come to the right place to indulge in this wonderful madness.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

Welcome to LAF carpet general.

May you have a long and merry stay with us.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!
