Thanks. :)

Finishing the ork  army is definitely the first priority. Don't worry.

An update: some warbikes I have just finished painting. These are excellent models, though the riders are tiny compared to the other, already small, orks in this range (and compared to the bikes!). Anyway they were great fun to paint and I hope you like them.

I also varnished another two of the Space Marines:

Love the bikes, some of my favourite Orks of that era.

Nice pjs, esp on the Orks. And it's good you traded pouches for skulls on those SMs. That way they won't run out of ammo and have to charge into melee by turn 3 screaming 'For the Emperor!'  (or is that in the rules?)

Thanks! And whilst it is still a bit of a stretch to say they are realistic, yes that is the look I was going for with the Marines. That is all of them now - I just need to remember what colours I used so I can add to the force...

The bikes are particularly cool. The orks have a nice bright and original colour scheme.

Great work.

Thanks! The bike models almost paint themselves they are so cool so much of the credit must go to Kev Adams. (I don't know if he did the bikes or just the riders but I assume both.)

After a bit of a hiatus, I have finally finished some addition to the force. This time, the Bad Moon contingent. I have always liked Bad Moons, and in 2nd edition 40K you need to take Bad Moon mobs to be able to have 2 heavy weapons per 5 boys, the minimum mob size (all other clans can only take 1).

The colours are exactly the same as the Blood Axes, except substituting blue for the grey. It overall gives them a very different look, though; more so than I expected. At first I wasn’t sure, but it has grown on me to the point I will continue with this scheme for the rest of the Bad Moon contingent.

I hope you like them too.

The Nob and his sidekick:

The heavy weapon boys (autocannons):

The others:

And just because they are my three favourite ork models of all time, another photo of these three:

Fantastic additions to a fantastic thread! I really need to stress this, YOUR MODELS AND TERRAIN IS INCREDIBLY INSPIRATIONAL.  :D

It's stuff like this that really gets me going. I love seeing advanced, complex terrain builds with diorama like quality. It's fun porn, but not attainable for me. Styrofoam cups painted grey with textured paint and then grimied up? Now we're talking! Thank you very much for sharing!
