Great stuff Andy!  :o

Have you two considered trying Chain of Command rules? I think they would be perfect for the planned platoon sized forces.

Where is that palm tree from by the way?

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Thanks Pocoloco!

We've played Bolt Action quite a few times now, so its probably easier sticking with that bud. How is Chain of Command? I don't suppose you've tried that AND Bolt Action?

The Bolt Action British book is a bit weird. There's 2 army lists in it for Africa. There's an East African theatre and a Tunisian one. Only the Tunisian one allows Universal Carriers. Were they not used throughout the war?

Cheers Colin!

I was figuring it means you don't have to haul everything from yours to mine everytime we play a game at mine...But even if we do not all house will be the same colour. I've noticed a lot of my bases for different things are different colours, but the look fine together!

my god, an eight army zombie  ;)

nice job  ;D

Thats just to keep the good Captain Blood happy! He REALLY likes his zombies! ;)

What do you think Lou, paint the stubble a bit blacker? I don't think it helps the models face looks a bit emaciated!....really high, raised eye sockets! :o

Lovely work Andy. That's a great door  8)

Ta Capt!

BTW I've painted you a fig! See above! ;)

AndyM: Difference between Bolt Action and Chain of Command is that BA is more GW type of game whereas Chain of Command is written so that it's more close to the contemporary (WW2) platoon organisation and how it was with different nations. So different type of tactics work for different nations/forces. Both are nevertheless fun games but I still recommend to give a try to Chain of Command at some point.

It seems that at least the Australians used both Bren Carriers and Universal Carriers in the Western Desert Campaing but for example the Mobile Division (British) had no Carriers in the beginning, at least. Hopefully there are some LAFers who have more precise info on that.

All looking lovely - I especially like the desert well (funny how it's the terrain pieces that really carry a project.)

Chain of Command and Bolt Action are very different beasts, despite having a similar scale (i.e. platoon-sized games with a bit of support), I would just play one or the other.

lol

He looks nothing like a zombie. Just a pale Northern sort who hasn't acclimatised to the desert sun yet...  ;)

Did the brits have no sunblocker 50 in desert war? Maybe the reason, why rommel had this good start. The LAF is a good source for historic questions. ;)
