Made some new terrain
« on: August 10, 2008, 09:51:08 PM »
I decided to make a hill complete with an archaeological dig on it.

I made everything else on the oboard removable, to aid storage and to allow for multi use.

Cool!

The thought occurs that you could also design scenery to incorporate the "dig" - want a small ruined temple with a secret crypt under it? You've already got the hole in the ground for the crypt.

Very nice. I like earth - as opposed to all green-flocked/static grassed.  8)

The original design had a tunnel leading to a hidden crypt which would have been under the house... the reason it isnt there is that I built it out of 3 inch Kingspan instead of three 1 inch bits... The building would have lifted up and there would be the crypt... complete with my Terracotta warriors.

Looks realy cool. I like all those open chests and jalopies. Also the well looks great. But, it's strange that there is a blue skull, isn't it?

I love the open pit archaeological dig. It's a very cool set up and with some different pieces it could be anywhere in the world.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys.

Ahh yes the blue skull... it shouldnt be there... I just grabbed a pile of terrain and took it outside to photograph... The skull just happened to be there and without thinking I shoved it on... I only realised when I put the picture up on photobucket...
DOH! :? :? :?

Operator thanks for the comment - I went for an arid type rather than sand and egypt... I can use it in my Pulp games anywhere in the world.

I will be doing more soon, already done jungles and temples, not to mention a labryrynth, so busy, busy, busy

Very nice. I've had a similar idea for a long time but I've never gotten around to actually realizing it. Maybe this will give me the necessary inspiration

Nicely done,

and no the blue skull isn't strange, it's either an art piece from a alien ambassador or a artefact whose discovery might change the world as we know it.

Think about it, if Neanderthalers could produce clear blue plastic what other stunning technology could have been hidden in time. Humanity might have started producing lead and plastic scale replicas long before our time. Don't you see this "hobby" of ours is not for fun, we are merely following in the footsteps of our cavemen ancestors who had finely tuned social mechanisms to resolve conflicts bloodlessly, aside from the discount-bin riots that is. :D
