Hi All

Last week at our club's (nwa.org.au) Open Day we ran a RCW Triumph and
Tragedy display game.  The scenario was a Historical "What if" based around
the end of House of Romanov with the Whites coming from the South and the
Reds the north.  The Royal Family where happily picking apples in the
village orchard oblivious to the danger they were in.

The game was a great success we did a few things wrong (we have only played
3 games) but there was plenty of interest/participation from the day's
visitors and other club members.  For those wondering History was rewritten
with the Royal family escaping the clutches of Lennin and his cronies by
the skin of their teeth.

Love the effects for the photos. A nice looking table too. And it sounds like a fun scenario as well!

What a lovely table! I'd really like to see more pictures and also learn more about the scenario.

That's my kind of table, where it takes nearly as long to set up,as to play the game.
You've got more will power than us,we have been know to set up and take a step back look at how pritty the table is.Then turn round and head off to the pub.
So well done.

Thanks for the compliments this forum has been a massive inspiration to get the RCW up and running at the club.

There are more photos but much the same as the ones posted, I’ve added a close up of the Houses and the Royals Pre Game. The figures asked about are Old Glory Boxer Rebellion Infantry they pass of well enough as the Colourful units and I had the pack already.

The scenario was super basic the Royal Family started Pinned (not allowed to move at all) until they saw the reds or where informed by the whites of their Peril.  The White Hero for the day Captain Bigglesworth (the Tsar’s personal Pilot) also started pinned under the same conditions as the Royals, he was busily working on his broken plane.

The Royals (who had their own unit card) had to escape off the table to the South while the Reds had to eliminate as many of them as possible.

The best compliment we got on the day was from a little girl who said “Mum it would look great without all the war stuff” lol

Rule errors by us mainly around hand to hand combat and Pinned when hit by MG fire.

Great work!  :)

Fuzzy.

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.
