Geezer questions
« on: August 14, 2014, 07:02:26 PM »
I have been buying Killer Bee and Anisty hooligans but are there anymore on the market?
Offensive has some but there is only one or two that look like they would fit in the 70s.
also what make of cars should I be looking for on ebay?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Might want to try Offensive Miniatures. The Ainsty figures are great and really go well with The Killer B stuff. I've been working on a football terracing full of hooligans based on the Ainsty mdf terracing kit.

You'll find clips and full episodes of The Sweeney (original 70's version with John Thaw and Dennis Waterman) all over the internet. Watching a few of these will give you a good d idea of what you'll need.
Don't!

I use a mixture of the Killer Bee range, Ainsty hooligans, the odd Foundry figure and some gangsters that Black Cat bases made under licence for my USA based scenrarios. Cars wise, I've got some old style minis, a flash limo for "the Boss", a couple of cop cars/vans, a transit van and an ice cream van (useful "cover" for the cops watching the place). These are the result of cheap toy/model shop purchases and keeping my eye on the boxes of odd die cast cars at car boot sales.
Tutenes, Atque Cujus Exercitus?

Cars and Vans, just google the TV series that come to mind, the cars will be on some info sites.  Dinky and Corgi do some of the makes, but they arent going to be cheap, even for scrap, the escort MK2 etc are expensive.  As Chris says in Life on Mars... I couldnt get a Escort Dinky dont do 1 so will a... do, when they were planning a police raid.

I may have got the car wrong...

Look at a company called Cararama. They make a selection of 60's/70's British vehicles that are the right scale (1/43) and cheap.  Give them a spray of matt varnish and you're set to go.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.
