Right you are Darth G  lol

Ahem...

As promised, comparison with the WotC minis and a space marine.  I think in the end I'd say that they're big, and wouldn't mix with the old WEG figures at all.  Pretty close to the WotC minis, though several would be taller up straight and they do appear chunkier.

Be your own judge...

First up - detail shots of a couple of the figures.

Rebel scum!

Imperials

More Imperials

Even more Imperials...

Probot and neutrals

Walkers.  The WotC one is stretched up, but the cabins appear a similar size.

Looks like I'll be bale to mix & match my plethora of WotC figs in with the FFG figs for extra poses. Still not sure about that AT-ST, it just looks too stunty to me. The WotC one is a bit tall, the FFG one a bit short and while I understand bulking out the lower legs for stability, it looks a bit off. The cabin is certainly better though, and I never did like the closed "eye" viewports on the WotC AT-ST.

Either way, gonna have to wait till after christmas before I pick it up :( Bah, humbug!

Thanks for the pics! Eagerly awaiting my copy.

Looks like the Imperial Officer has the worst proportion issues. But it also looks like the CMG version is a good fit for a replacement.

Now if I can just find a cheap Millenium Falcon...

Definitely going to have to buy this if only for the figures. How are the rules, have you given it a go?

Definitely going to have to buy this if only for the figures. How are the rules, have you given it a go?

Looks pretty straightforward - attacks and defences are made using the custom dice, which have numbers and symbols to tell you whether a ranged attack hit, how many hits were scored or blocked, and whether extra effects (surges, evades and dodges) were triggered.  You can take Strain to power special abilities or move further.

In the skirmish game, you face two forces of equal points off against each other.  In the campaign game, the rebel players are significantly stronger and the Imperial player uses Threat points, which increase each round, to activate more and more troops.

The skirmish game has special effect cards you can play, and the campaign game has a ton of extra options - equipment, skills that are bought with XP, side missions.

Will give it a go with Darth Gibson (gibby) on Tuesday and report back.

It really sounds like the mechanics from Descent, so all those who have played it will probably find the concepts quite familar.
