German East Africa: Outpost Attack AAR
« on: August 24, 2014, 03:45:11 AM »
I was able to meet up with some folks for an African game today that involved a joint British/native raid on a German outpost.

We ended up having to call game the game due to time, but with the amount of British blood spilled we had to call it a German victory.

Details and more photos can be found on the blog:

Fun game Chris and Victor! Thanks for a great time. The photos do not do Chris's terrain justice. It's by far the best African savannah terrain that I've ever seen in person, and the buildings really add to the period feel. Next time I will finish painting up my archers so they don't spoil the look of your wonderful photos, Chris  ;)

Also thanks to LAF for connecting the three of us--never would have known that there were other Darkest Africa players in the area if it wasn't for this forum!

It's a very attractive looking board but the buildings in particular look fantastic. I checked out your blog, thanks for posting the detail of how you made the hotel, very inspiring.

Great set up I particularly like the tall building and you've inspired me to paint up the wildlife I bought recently especially the rhino.....my clients call me that cos Im thick skinned short sighted and  charge a lot! :) :)

Thanks Everyone!  I'm still working on terrain, so there should be more options available in the future.  Steve also has a collection as well (we're building up to his gunboat), so I think we should be able to put on a variety of games.

I haven't seen that film before - will definitely have to check it out!

Great looking game Joekano! Good figures and terrain.

I love the wildlife interacting with the armies  :)

Very good blog too.
