Crossfire At The Crossroads: Crossfire AAR
« on: August 27, 2014, 09:00:37 AM »
A quick AAR of my recent venture into Crossfire on my blog...

http://warpanda.blogspot.ca/2014/08/crossfire-at-crossroads.html

and just a few musings on some House Rules I've been toying with recently...
like shorting long drawn out firefights:

http://warpanda.blogspot.ca/2014/08/crossfire-firefight-stalemates.html

And looking at Recon By Fire Rule

And some thoughts on using individual minis for Crossfire

And some silly suggestions for Hidden Deployment

Hope you find something of interest...

John

Thank you guys :)

Well I've tried the firefight house rules and if you want those shootouts to be resolved quicker then I think they would well...we love Crossfire but some times they can turn into a real stalemate and to be fair I think that is probably a very accurate representation...

Lovely set up.
Your rule for pinned units having 180 degree arc of fire to allow for flanking seems unnecessary though. Shooting from fire groups or crossfires can only be carried out if the target is in the front 180 degrees anyway. Attacking a group of stands from the rear only draws fire from one rifle stand which has to shoot alone (Page 10, 6.4a).
