Thanks Guys,
I definitely get carried away sometimes with these projects and I'm glad you all like the results.  Sadly, (though happily for my electric bass fund) all three of these have been sold!

Sorry about the delay in replying, I've been taking a little break from gaming.

Not sure what will be coming next, but I did just pick up a small used Atlas O-scale switcher.  I'm Thinking about selling off the sci-fi train and building one that might not be as big and impressive, but would operate....

Thanks!
I'm taking a bit of a break from wargaming to work on model trains but no doubt I'll be back at it in the fall or winter at the latest.  As well as other projects I have the pathological need to do something notable for our club's annual convention game of 28mm Mech Attack at Adepticon.

New project underway!
If anyone at all remembers my previous work, it will come as no surprise that I'm cooking up something based on a castoff resale shop toy. In this case it started as a Paw Patrol Aircraft that I found at a resale shop that was missing the cockpit/nose section.
Been working on it alot over the past week or so as I hope to have it on the table at my Adepticon Mech Attack game this Saturday.

Following pictures
-Greebling Mostly complete
-Undercoat Black
-White base layer
-Interior with lighter white overspray for more of a mid-grey interior.
-Pics showing that this will be a dual-scale model.  1:56 for wargaming and 1:18 for my son to play with his action figures. More on this in the future.

I'll also be doing an intensive blog post on the build process and I'll link it here.  Feels great to be building agin.

Glad to see you here again Eilif!

Cool new project. A real big "terrain" piece for your board(s).

Maybe consider to play THE DROWNED EARTH and build an Apoc Jungle (3x3) Table for it. I'd love to see that.

Greetings,
Jan

Thanks Jan, great to hear from you.  You know I like to go big!
Drowned earth sounds really cool. I'd not heard of it until just now when I looked it up.  However, I'm pretty well stuck in urban sci-fi/cyberpunk terrain (and some desert stuff) especially Sci-fi projects that can double duty with the 1:18 Star Wars figures that my son and I are collecting.   I've got a pretty good idea for a walkway system based on Fisher Price GeoTrax that could serve both scales with shared pillars/bases and swappable walkways with different height railings.  We'll see what develops as there's at least one other 1:18-specific project in line first.

We recently moved to a new home that is smaller but has a much better and useable 3-season workspace, so hopefully there will be some good projects coming out.

Love the ship idea!  I've always wanted a big shuttle as a nice centre point for missions...hmmm...

Nice job :)

I'm a fan of taking chunky small kids toys and converting them to 28mm :)

Ahh, excellent. It's great to see this thread come back to life.

The Paw Patrol ship looks really promising, looking forward to some more.
