Ion Age weapons
« on: August 30, 2014, 10:44:13 PM »
Okay, I like some of the figures at nobleknight.com in 15 mm bu what the heck are the weapons suposed to be?

Hermit 44mm Plasma Rifle - standard rifle like today's AR?

Urgan 2 Bore Auto-Shotgun - standard shotgun, seems obvious

Valerin 9kw Laser Rifle - Heavy rifle?  Sniper rifle? SAW equivalent?

Moth Rifles a lighter rifle than above?

Anvil 888 Lancher's - RL?  PML?  GL?

Ammo Carrier - obviously reloads for above...

a Roaz Axe - Engineer tool?  Melee?

Hermit Plasma Rifle -  Support weapon?

Tumbler Mpi -  HUH?

Did I miss any infantry/infantry support weapons?

I don't have the Ion Age rules but was curious how the weapons are supposed to work/what they represent  (before I almost certainly decide to change their description for my own games...)

Gracias,

Glenn

I got the old game/rulebook somewhere, will look it up (if there are any explanations in there).
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

If you like them and want them in 28mm too, they are also available separately.  I've got  a batch of the Crusader Backpacks that I intend to use on space marines at some point, but just about every weapon for all factions is available in a pack or individually.

Unfortunately, I don't think the same is true for 15mm.

God, No!  Not 25/28/30/35/+ sized figures, nothing bigger than 18 mm ever again (and I am trying to get rid of most of the 25+ mm stuff I have bit by bit where replacements exist.

Thanks for the option, (ion Age is nice in having the miniatures in 3 sizes, which is part of what attracted me to them years ago,) but it is 15/18 mm or 6 mm or 3 mm (aircraft) whenever possible for me.

Gracias,

Glenn

Yes, I have skirmish gamed in 6 mm...

I took some crappy pics with my mobile phone. Those are from the 'Firefight' game (from Alternativve Armies, set in the 'Ion Age') which is now out of print (as far as I know). Hope this helps:
