Rogue Trader 15mm project
« on: September 04, 2014, 04:35:24 PM »

So I've gone and started another scale.. this time 15mm. Anyway I though It'll be fun to do it as based around Rogue Trader's wackyness (That's 40K 1st Ed to those not familiar with RT).

More info here:

Anyway my first Warband:

You've made a good start on an interesting project :).

Seeing as you are looking to use 15mm for RT, may i be so bold as to direct you to a fellow blogger's similar project?:

He has some interseting choices for the various races and details how he has converted them :).

Aye I have been following his Blog, wonderful wonderful stuff.. way beyond what I can do. Plus he's gearing more to current 40k style wears mine is alot less restrictive and nowhere near canon :D

Anyway up next some Freebooter Orks :)

My painting speed is rather slow atm dew to my eyes problems and having to sort out a house move this Monday, BUT I did manage to get some 15mm Orks Freebooters painted... around half the Warband.

The figures are by CP Models and are rather crude but do have some RT charm, but they do happen to have some rather odd length arms, I'm not that happy with how they came out and if I'm honest I don't think my painting style quite works with 15mm :-/

Anyway I have made a start on The Torg, my own humanoid mercenary race. Think medium tech with limited looted/traded plasma tech.

Wanna see 'um?

Anyway much more here:

Hi!

Don't give up on the 15mm stuff! It requires a few different techniques than 28mm scale!

The Orks have turned out well and have loads of character! Move onto something else and come back to the remainder refreshed would be my suggestion. I tend to flit between lots of different figures so I don't burn out on any one project!

All the best!

Aye I jump between projects of various scales anyway. I'm not stopping the 15mm it's just that the Orks killed my mojo for finishing the other half heh, anyway working on The Torg along with some 28mm toys atm.
