Wow!  That's remarkable, CrumbReaper.
Back from the dead, almost.

From the charred remains of Professor Karl Günter’s diary:-

My trained mind refuses to believe what my eyes have shown it, a writhing,
living building surely not of this or any sane world.

Slick, amphibious skin that on first glance would like an uncared for mildew
covered mausoleum but is pulsing and warm to the touch! The stairs that initially
lead straight up to the monstrosity are now moving like tentacles, about to propel
the thing lurching into the abyss.

Hooded figures have phased through what I thought were doorways and gravity itself
has given in to the mass that should not exist in this plane. The robed creatures
now parade on the upper and lower surfaces of the moving steps and a large staring
eye has emerged to fix its gaze longingly upon my soul.

Loving that! Recently watched the labyrinth  so non-ellucidian staircases appeal.
Now water can flow....or water can crash...be water my friend.

thanks for the feedback everyone, glad it's appealing to other people - I'm over the moon with it!

I really want to have a go at a Labyrinth style impossible stair case too at some point

Indeed. Looks good. Especially that big old stone or wooden coffin/sarcophagus. ;-)
