"Chain of Command" Pacific game

Hello.
Yesterday I played a very interesting game of "Chain of Command", Japanese vs US Airborne in the Philippine.

Great looking game Juan, a table like that will make any game a joy to play. 

I'm really glad you're enjoying the rules.  I do have the Japanese down on my list to paint up as I think they are a really interesting force to game with.  I just need to find some nice figures.  What make are yours?

I bought the a Warlord boxed set in plastic, but to be honest the number of parts had put me off.  I plan to go with metal figures when I find a make I like.

Rich, take a look at the Brigade Games Japanese. I have a small platoon to paint and they're decent figures. Wargames Command Post used to do the whole range but it looks like they've got limited stock now.

I´m not sure about what of them are my favorite; these one, in the game, were from Warlord Games (mine) and Brigade Games (those from José Antonio). The white metal figures from Warlord Games are full of mould line, blobs, etc. but they have a really cartoonish look and are not bad when painted. Those from Brigade Games are really fine and full of detail, and really clean castings.
In this moment, I´m using those from WG to create my platoon, with their metal figures (but I´m going to need some plastic ones for the light mortar teams...).
The USMC platoon is going to be a bit more complicate...

WarTime Miniatures from Australia have plans to have Japanese figures for their "Australians in Kokoda" range of figures.

I've played a lot of Disposable Heroes I haven't ventured into CoC yet, although I do have the rules.

Brilliant battle report!  Thank you for posting.  10/10 for terrain, what a fantastic looking table.  CoC does take a little learning but is certainly a very rewarding game.

As well as Brigade Games and Warlord, I know The Assault Group (TAG) do a very fine range of Japanese in metal.

Thank you very much! The terrain was built by a GREAT artist we had in our club, Pako, for his 15mm games, but this is perfect for our 28mm games too. I like a lot the lot of undulations it has.

Yes, TAG figures are not bad and I have read good things about those from Battle Honours too.
