Adding some "muscle" to my Tomb Kings
« on: September 16, 2014, 12:25:19 PM »
I needed to add some oomph to my Tomb Kings army and although I didn't fancy going down the Undead Legion route I figured the new Morghasts might make decent Colossuses with a bit of conversion etc

So...... on Sunday afternoon I thought I'd better get on with it and started assembling the figures and adding more Tomb Kings iconography etc etc, finishing of by undercoating them a golden colour to match in with the colour scheme of my armies animated constructs ...

Yesterday evening I felt I ought to attack them with a paintbrush, so by about 2000 this was the result of the first figure

So I thought there's a bit of time left so started on number two ... by 2130 this was what I had (necrosphinx now has a couple of buddies)

Tonight's task is to finish of the bases ...

They look more sci-fi than fantasy - what models are they?  Actual GW things?  You've done a damn fine job in such a short time. They're really freakin' big!  lol

They are the new Morghast Archai for the Undead Legions from GW; UK price is £36 GBP for a pack of two

origally they are mounted like Nagash on those wings and spirits ... and can have great weapons (I made one double ended) or 2x hand weapons
