New CNC Workshop terrain spotted
« on: September 17, 2014, 10:46:19 AM »
Saw this on Data Sphere and HOT DAMN I think it looks good! CNC Workshop (you know, about the first company selling MDF buildings) is about to release a new range of buldings and game board. Yes, it will be expensive with shipping and customs...but I want it badly.

Didn't spot a release date yet though.

Oh, my!  :-* Very Olympus City, I'd better dig out my Appleseed conversions and see about finishing them.
Oh, and start saving... (how many kidneys does a man need anyway?)

Going by my own personal experience...you do fine with only one ;)
(had my right one removed at the age of 18...still going mighty strong on one 16 years later)

Good to know!
I think I'll be going the money route anyway; I'm a bit of a completist, and besides, CNC Workshop doesn't seem to have a bodypart payment plan.  lol

Oh my; I just got the urge to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution again! (the entire table just needs to be repainted in golden yellow :D )

That is some awesome terrain and almost exactly what I'm after for my near future cityscape. I mean; escalators? 8) The apartment(?)buildings with the volume dial on the sides are excellent and I might very well pick up a couple. Does anyone know if they go up all the way to eleven?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Yes!  Someone finally fully realized the potential of this medium.  There has been some great stuff out and it has been getting better but this is finally a futuristic city that looks both futuristic and city like and not Gothic or outpost/colony like.

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago too.  It's going to make my wife cry (or me when she gets to redo the master bath to offset what I'm spending on this plus punitive damages....)

Seriously nice-looking terrain/board, but unfortunately the closeups do reveal some, ah, hasty-looking assembly.

...I guess that's often common with these sorts of laser-cut MDF kits?

Looks like an incredible table.  More impressive is the paintwork.  With a different palette and some grunge it'd make an excellent Necromunda table as well.  I did chuckle at the continued use of hexes though.  Sci-fi=hexes.  lol

I would guess you're looking at a couple thousand bucks for that entire table though - particularly if it comes pre-painted.  Still, lovely kit.

True the hex thing is getting a bit over done but I suppose it is better than companies that think MORE SKULLZZZZZ! and 800 year old architectural styles are futuristic.

Next you'll be telling me to put a helmet on to go with my armoured body...or that my axe is ineffective in the future.  NONSENSE!
