Stunties.

This first lot were painted early 90's. and the rest have been done to match up., more or less.
I'm resisting the temptation to go back and give them a touch up.

The rest of them follow. I'm still missing 9 of the original releases and the rest of the heavy weapon crews and command squads, if anyone has any unwanted examples knocking around drop me a PM.

Thanks for all the positive feedback you've all given. It's great to come back to this thread and read it again. :)

Brilliant!
I love Squats, so I may be biased, but you cant knock that brushwork even if you do not like the little fellas.

That is pretty much my thinking too.
 ;)

I have a few of the old Adventurers (the type with no arms) if they are any good to you.

I don't know if I was clear, only the five in the first photo, the smaller slightly fuzzy, don't look at me too closely photo, were painted then.
The others were finshed yesterday ;)

Thanks but it's the warriors that I'm after.

Thanks again for the feedback folks:-)

No you were quite clear but the guys in the first photo are still way beyond anything I was churning out in the 90s  lol

Next up, army dread from the 53rd mechanised division, to support the forlorn remnants of the 4th.

Nice,

I never could quite figure out, what the weapon arm is actually carrying? In the early days GW had a tendency to let the same weapon look differently on various models.

It's the missile launcher.
It's not the most obvious, but if you look at it from the side, the horizontal bars just in front of the yellow and red cables are the missiles on a cylindrical rack. The muzzel of the thing is not that dissimilar to the marine launcher in the original box of beakies.
Took me a while, it's definitely grown on me over the years, to the point I now actually like it.
