Well, I'm afraid I have no real cherubs to drive the barge (something I may have to solve at some moment...), but I remembered that I got this from the Imperial Chapel kit:

Enough for the moment ::)

On the othe hand, I was also reminded that life in the Imperium is hard. A guy who lives wandering all over the rivers and canals, from hive to hive and to the outlanders domains, for sure must have a little bit more firepower than a single gun:

So with these two simple additions, the barge now has a little more personality :D:

I made a mini-entry for these:

So thanks for the suggestions! Appreciated! :) Now I'm on the look for cranes and stuff, but I'm on my way to make another addition to the industrial area. Coming soon! :)

Fenris do a nice crane (if a bit fiddly and easily damaged) that could be tarted up to fit your purpose mate!

Another crane option...

OO plastic kit, similar to an old Airfix one I think - may be slightly small, but might work and has an industrial feel to it

The barge is wonderful, Suber! The extra details - subtle, small - are excellent. The bolter/autogun on the front is inspired! The bridge is damned nice too - I'm tempted to get one for a Death Race-type project I'm working on, as it would make for a great little bridge on an industrial board, I think. Looking forward to more of this thread!

Thanks, pals! Hmm, that Dapol crane looks sweet. Maybe too small, OO scale, but for that price I believe it's quite a nice option and something could be arranged. Hmmm... Thank you!

In the meantime, I've put my hands on this warehouse, Sarissa Precision again:

I didn't want all the board to look extremely dark and rusty; I mean, didn't want to take all to the extreme. That's why I went on light colours this time, to give some variety. Of course it couldn't look bright and clean, I had to find the balance...

I thought of working on the inside, but I still don't have enough crates & stuff, so for the moment I'll be using it just as a box for storage purposes (well, in fact that's what a warehouse is supposed to be :D). After handrails and ladders were properly weathered, this is the final result:

You can find it all on the blog:

I really need to work on a new board, but I'm too lazyyyyy...

That's a real beauty (link for those who haven't seen it). Far away from my skills, but definitely shows me that the railway kit fits perfectly for these purposes. Thank you very much! :)
