Making burning markers
« on: September 21, 2014, 11:46:43 AM »
Hi all

I've added a new article to my 6mm wargaming site covering some helpful info for the discerning gamer. :-)

The article covers how to make burning markers of vehicles and aircraft to improve the look of your games. It is aimed at the 6mm gamer but can be scaled up (or down!) I guess. The direct link is http://6mm.wargaming.info/page505.shtml

And here is a taster

Cheers
Kieran

Thank-you

I will try that for my 10mm games.

Great stuff - I particularly like the idea of using a hot glue blob as the base - this will help prevent the flame marker scratching the paint of the vehicle

The tip on painting the inner flames bright is good too - I have some fire elementals on the painting queue so might try this with them. I really like the way yours look like they glow from the inside (just like real fire!)

Neat variation on the classic explosion using clump foliage and pipe cleaners  :)

Best thing about this size is you do not need to cover the thing in superglue - always hated that part and the smell.

Bookmarked - thank you.
