Anvil Miniatures' Afterlife Republic Grenadiers size?
« on: September 24, 2014, 10:15:37 AM »
Does anyone have a decent comparison picture of the Afterlife Republic Grenadiers by Anvil Miniatures, preferably next to, say, a Hasslefree mini?

I'm hoping that a certain Hasslefree weapon will work on those minis.

Also, does anyone know if the weapons on the Anvil minis are seperate?

Thanks in advance :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Any particular Hasslefree weapon? The 'Afterlife' figures are 'heroic' in scale - very close in size and stature to GW Cadians (for example). They are bit shorter and chunkier than Hasslefree minis

I'm leasurely looking for miniatures to use in a Deus-Ex: Human Revolution project I'm hoping to get going.

These particular minis are the closest I could find to the look of the Belltower private contractors. They just need a head swap and a different weapon.

The weapon will have to be a lookalike to the FR-27 Rifle from the game. I was looking at modifying Hasslefree's Tomoko SMG with a longer barrel. It's the closest I could find to the 'original'.

Otherwise I might have to go the FAMAS route, but I don't think there's a suitable 28mm one available.

Thanks for the initial description btw. Most of my miniatures outside of my GW armies are 28mm, non-heroic, so if these guys are as bulky as I'm fearing, I might have to keep looking...

I'm afraid you may be disappointed - the Republic Grenadiers are mostly cast in two pieces: waist-up, clutching the weapon, and head included; and belt-down, legs. The arms, head, and weapon aren't separate.

I think you would be better served with something from the Infinity line, like the Kaplan Tactical Services, and while they are metal, at least they are multi-part, separate heads, and have rifles that look more like the one you are after.
