I've reached the bottom of my lead mountain ...
« on: September 27, 2014, 12:35:54 AM »

... yet I aten't dead!

There’s a wargaming superstition that if you reach the bottom of your ‘lead mountain’  of unpainted figures, you’ll die.  Well, I’ve been at the bottom of my lead mountain for a few weeks now, and I’m pleased to say that I’m still hale and hearty!   (read more about this on my blog: http://arteis.wordpress.com/2014/09/27/i-should-be-dead/)

Only one thing to do - buy more lead!!!   lol  As a wise man once told me, "You can never have enough Chinese".  In your case, probably Maori.  I know that I would certainly like to see more of your painting from the Maori Wars era.

Maybe your reaching the bottom of your lead mountain destroyed the world and we are now in some sort of afterlife completely mimicking what life would have been like if the world had carried on.

What !? :o

Excellent news!  :D
I have summoned the lead miners of Askaristan to the palace and informed them of the glad tidings! This is joyous news. They will be able to afford food once more! They have agreed to work double shifts to mine more lead and so replace the unfortunate shortage you find yourself in. We must all pull together and support you in the difficult times ahead until you once more are faced with foothills of shining metal waiting to be daubed.

Already a camel train is being packed and is making it's way to the foundries of your country. Soon the casting gnomes will be busily at work and brown paper parcels will begin to arrive at your home. I have asked them to include a book of excuses for you to use.

Do no fret my friend, all will soon be as it should be. Balance will be restored! So it is written, so it shall be done! o_o

Maybe he just reached the bottom because the pile grew so great that it collapsed on top of him.

Nah, there's a blister pack behind the wardrobe or a couple of figures down the back of the sofa that he's forgotten about. It's the only explanation.
So many projects..... so little time.......

What was under the lead pile?
