choice of zombies and mutant for a resident evil like ?
« on: September 30, 2014, 10:08:17 AM »
i got some tiles and board from the game HYBRID, really gory, i am looking for 25/30 zombies + mutants

my choice came first to wargames factory but someone told me they are fragile since you have to glue them and manipulate them.

i was wondering to buy zombicide toxic city mall since there is everything in the box.

Budget is also an issue, i ve seen some nice minis but 5 zombies for 10 or 15 euros no thank you.....

any nice mutants ? the demons from hell dorado are also amazing

The WF plastic zombies are okay for a horde. If you are looking for more unique undead, other options are probably better. Vampifan's blog might be the most comprehensive collection of zombie miniature reviews.

The HorrorClix line has quite some models that would fit right into RE, one is a purple humanoid with no skin, another one is the Rottweiler, a pink mutant dog-like creature with spines on it's back. Hasslefree has the Jotun which would make a fine Nemesis mutant.

I'm using them with female wargames factory zombies :

Hello sundayhero,

Your speed painting on the zombies looks great  :o

i don't know about quality of wargames factory VS Studio miniatures

Studio miniatures sounds better, not sure of my choice yet.

Zombie hordes from games workshop , i like them but they look too much fantasy for a resident evil diorama

And for Zombicide , quality of the plastic looks cheap ?

The Zombicide plastic is not cheap.  They are really great miniatures actually.

ok thank you :)

seems cheaper to buy Toxic city mall for the big fat zombies + survivors

studio miniatures looks nice too, a bit more expensive and no big fat zombies

otherwise for the most expensive option for survivors and scavengers , lead adventure minis looks great too

others companys producing scavengers with gas mask but cheaper  ?

It's a small range, but I really like the survivors.  The zombies are nice too.

Go and look at the sticky for zombie options or some of the well detailed project threads for all your zombie needs.

Oh yeah male wargames factory zeds are utter turd. Anyway, the female zombie vixens are nice. Use mantic zeds and ghouls mixed with studio miniatures plastics and you won't go wrong.
