Leipzig University - admissions contacts?

Apologies for posting here however I am at a loose end. My wife is German and my daughter is due to study Physics at Leipzig this year......we believe she has a place however cannot get confirmation allowing us to move forward with accommodation etc etc. I was just wondering / hoping that someone here may know somebody who knows somebody in the admissions area? She is, in theory, due to start within the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately my German is a little 'basic' shall we say...I have no problems with getting a beer and directions to the post office but anything further or in depth is beyond me...coupled with poor telephone hearing I am of little use in this scenario.....

Any help would be much appreciated....

Sorry, no relations to Leipzig. But if you were asked to paid the fees (and did so) eveything sould be fine. In the online-portal of the university you can maybe see her Immatrikulationsstatus? If the online-portal is no help, maybe call on monday (tomorrow = german bank holiday) the Studentensekretariat or the Auslandsamt of the university (the latter should be able to talk in english to you).

Thanks...we are ringing on Monday (or my wife is) but my daughter (and me   ) are panicking as the closing date for admissions is today. We've checked the on line portal and the status just says it's sent the application onwards to Leipzig....
