Corgi Golden Compass Toys - how cheap?
« on: August 23, 2008, 07:07:51 PM »
Just a heads up to anybody in the UK. Poundland have the Golden Compass toys at, yes you've guessed it, £1.00 each.

The Nottingham store had the carriage and the airship.

Go on in, they have some good stuff from time to time.  I got a load of 1/100 Aircraft and 28mm Schwimmwagen and Hummers from there.  They also have remaindered 28mm police cars, last week I got a load of audio-tapes too.  They get undercut by the 99p store, though!  :-*

I was meaning the Nottingham one in particular. As long as I didn't go in I could tell myself they might not have them. I already own three!

I just picked a bunch up from the Poundland in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester. Zeppelin and carriage - anyone have a link to the airship?

You're so spoiled! If some of you guys should find droves of 28 mm thingys in such a store, could I ask you to contact me? If you can for instance get Hummers for 1 Pound, I'd be willing to double that + postage (and I need more than one)  :)

And I very much would appreciate helicopters (Hueys, Apaches, civilian, whatever!) in near 28 mm scale, too. Actually, at those prices I would buy most 28 mm stuff  ;D
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
