Another irritating scale based post
« on: October 14, 2014, 09:02:13 PM »
Sorry about this...

But...

How do the new Mutton Chop Mini's scale with the Woodbine miniatures?  They look good with Musketeer (although inexplicably the site has gone...)...

I am more than happy to wait for the release of the BEF Vickers and crew (looks lovely) but I'm keen to add some more 'colour', specifically signallers, stretcher bearers 18ib's etc. etc.

Views appreciated as always, Goat.

I am guessing they scale pretty good together, seeing as Mr. Hicks does miniatures for both Mutton Chop and Musketeer.
And Musketeer will be back, they are setting up operations in the US with Footsore miniatures. That is if, I have not been misinformed that is.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Yep, I'd say they'd be a perfect match.

For quite a while Gripping Beast ran Musketeer for Andy, now Andy has moved to the U.S. and is setting up Footsore with a couple of yank chums. You can read about the move, etc here:

The new website is here, but hasn't the entirity of the range online yet:

Also don't forget the related work Mr Hicks has done over at Empress:

I wouldn't bother too much, since none of these ranges have the "new true scale ambition". They all pretty well fit together.
Only some of the old Foundry and GW miniatures sculpts are a bit different in proportions, but nothing to be too worried about really.
