I've been thinking about a King Kong list for IHMN.
I know KK was around later than IHMN but he can't have been the first (or last) giant ape.
The slavers/humans who captured him is the easy part. Native bearers from the explorers club and some basic heroes for the leaders.
KK is where I'm getting stuck.
I thought of using the stats for the Yeti and adding the tough special ability rounding him out to 50 points even. But then I got thinking...yetis are only 7-10 feet tall whilst KK is 18-25 feet tall (or larger depending on which movie you watch). So KK
should be stronger.
I asked myself what "weapon" would make him stronger? The obvious choice would be a steam claw instead of talons (is. Combat knife) but KK would have a FV of +9 for only 55 points. That seems really wrong. And steam claws need a power source (is. Make them cost more due to their awesomeness) so I could add that cost to help offset the +9 FV
but at 65 points, KK would be the best melee killer in the game....
Granted, a well placed bullet of being ganged up on could still kill him. Which brings me to another point. KK fought off aeroplanes with Machine Guns at the top of the Empire state building....should his "armour" be stronger?
What are your thoughts? Is he too powerful with the "steam claw"? Should he have a stronger armour rating? As much as I want an unkillable monster capable of utter destruction, I want to have fun, and I want my opponents to have fun. Broken army lists aren't for me ( thanks to GW).
