Good (Over)Lord, you scribed the horizontal lines as well?!? I bought a pack of that XPS foam 1.5 years ago already imprinted with lines, so you only have to separate the bricks by the horizontal ones. Then again, I only finished a castle during that time and still have half of it lying around.

Lovely work Overlord.

I thought building trench revetments out of matchsticks was painstaking - but you win the 'suffer for your art' award for individually inscribed bricks - and so beautifully done too. Really nice.

So looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Now, where did I leave my old Corgi Ford Transit...?  ;)

Here is the third frontage:

This has only one arch, as the left hand side is a bridge/tunnel entrance. This will give a point of access to that edge of the board.

That was going to be it for brickwork on the arches. However, I have now decided to put brickwork on both sides of the arches so that it gives even more variation on a table edge, but also allows me to place the arches across the table and not just on an edge.  The idea that prompted this was that I could use the arches for an urban version of the Great Train Robbery  8)

It now means the brickwork is now only half finished.  :o  The madness has truly taken hold.  ;D

I have now finished building the first piece:

It is a foamcore box with the embossed frontages added front and back.  It should be reasonably sturdy.  The only likely damage would be to the embossed parts but this shouldnt happen in general use, and they will be stored safely.

I wont start painting until at least all 3 have been finished.  Number 2 is about ready to be assembled.
