Gaming the Current Conflict in Northern Syria and Iraq
« on: 18 October 2014, 09:39:49 PM »
This topic is to remain completely focused on the organisation, equipment used and 'tactical activity' in this conflict. This is to ensure there is no breach of the forum rules as they stand.

Remember, LAF is politically neutral and and we want to ensure that it remains so.

The conflict over the last few months in northern Syria and Iraq has given the possibility for those that want to game it to do so. Like the Ukrainian thread, this is an opportunity for those with reference material to share it.

My current group is playing games of 'Hind Commander', and with the capture in Iraq of helicopters by IS we could theoritically field a force with Blackhawks, Kiowas, Bell 407s supported by technicals:

The Da'Ish never flew captured blackhawks.  They never captured blackhawks.

Apparently they captured an Abrams and used it at Kobane but not much to prove this I don't think. They have some T72s but the majority if their armour are T55s, of which there is plenty if evidence.
