I've hesitated about RBG for that sole reason.  I have a lot of Otherworld stuff --- how do they scale compared?

Yeah I don't have a good feeling about this

stonecoldlead have painted mini for both these companies. He could probably easily answer that question.

Those Aenglish are awesome and perfect as substitutes for the Rackham Cadwallon militia. Same kind of look and feel, but then Tre-ified.

They are not as tiny as many people think!

They scale well with Hasslefree, Bronze Age, Foundry, less chunky Reaper, GW LOTR, Darksword and Wargames Factory (that's what I have at hand).

I'll post a comparative later.

Please do! I've kept from buying RBG miniatures, because I wasn't sure, they would fit with my other models (Darksword, old citadel and Rackham).

I made the mistake of buying RBG and Gripping Beast and trying to put them together. It's not the size that's out, it's also the style of sculpting (with GB being much chunkier). I tend to raise up the RBG mins on high-side bases and/or raise them up on slate pieces, which does help a little.

If I had it over to do again, I wouldn't bother with the GB mins, because the RBG ones are just sooo lovely.

Thank you for the Pic!

From that picture, it looks like the Humans are more in scale with the others.  I wish the dwarves were.  I love those sculpts.

Thanks for the photo, Arthadan.  That's very helpful for people to see.

I love RBG and have 150+ of Tre's figures.  It's my favorite miniature line.  The question was do they look good next to "heroic" scale miniatures.  My opinion is that they generally don't.  That's not a fault of Tre's figures.  I love Tre's "true" scale 28mm figures.  I have a lot of Otherworld miniatures but the human PCs just don't look good next to RBG.  Again, this is not a fault with Tre's figures.  I understand that Otherworld miniatures are stylized and I actually like the human PCs in the line, I just don't like to mix them with my RBG stuff.

I hate to jump people off to another forum but here is another good series of comparison photos (scroll down).  People who are on the fence should take a look at this.

Here are some links to blogs with comparison photos that may be of use:

As best I can tell, they scale well with "heroic" miniatures about as well as GW's Lotr range scales well with heroic miniatures.  Looks like the Helsvakt might be big enough to use with other miniatures though.

They're definitely still slight, but I could probably convince myself to get a few (particularly some non-humans so scale would be a little less important).

His sculpts are second to none.  But they are so finely detailed that I was afraid of painting them.  I like to think I'm a pretty good painter, I have won prizes, but my wife is painting the RBG minis as I can't do them justice.

I really like the size and proportion of RBG minis. They might not fit with Warhammer and other heroic lines, but with LOTR and a lot of hasslefree, they look fine.

Most of all I appreciate that RBG is one of the few lines that have a lot of realistic and strong female characters, not sexist tropes made flesh (or rather pewter).

Tre posted a photo of his nearly completed first set of brigands.  He's working on the next group.
