Experience in pulp alley

Hi all,
Had my first two games of pulp alley last night. Really enjoyed them both and game went really smoothly for saying neither of us had played before!
I do have one question though, and that is how are experience points calculated? Are victory points the same thing or is it just the experience reward card that gets this bonus?
I'm sure it's written somewhere but can't find it.

Yes, you gain 1 Experience point when you finish a scenario with control of the Experience Reward card. Experience points are also frequently awarded for completing a campaign -- as in Perilous Island or Vice Alley.

No, Victory points are not the same as XP. Victory points are only used to determine a winner (when it matters) and also add to your league's overall Reputation. Gaining Reputation can be pretty handy and provides a nice range of minor bonuses.

In general, Experience progression is intended to be fairly slow for characters, so that leagues with lots of games can still be balanced against newer leagues.
