Manchester Center for Gothic Studies?
« on: October 24, 2014, 09:39:54 PM »
Hello I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this but does anyone know anything about the work the Manchester Center for Gothic Studies does? http://www.hssr.mmu.ac.uk/gothicmmu/ I'm wondering if they have out of print Victorian Gothic texts available. Any information would be interesting to me.

Not that I'd have a clue, but they do claim "The Centre’s mission is to promote the study of the Gothic both nationally and internationally," and so should be open to direct contact.

That said, it appears more likely that they are more interested in the modern view of 'Gothic', and less about research into historical studies.

Anyway, any holdings would tend to be in the University library than in a department. Still, I'd think the studies office itself should be able to point you right.

You've got me there; might well scan-and-post.
