Its going to be pink!  ;-)

Cheers Pocoloco!

I've been reading a gentleman's thread on the Crooked Dice Forum(Robo 1). He plays 7TV and has came up with some rules for it for 2000AD. I've used his rules and came with a cast list and quick play sheet with the rules on it for them.

Thanks Cheetor.

Right.....I'm not happy!! My board isn't going the way I like. I may have to seriously re-think my build strategy. I'm not sure if its the flat base board its all on (maybe it should be more up and down?), the straight walkways (they're more curved in the comics, but I thought this might be better for game play ) or the square-ish building (it maybe looks to much like an MDF kit). Now....... the building is going to have a big, odd shaped roof to relieve the squared off look, but even so..... :?

There will be more base boards or just this one? If there is more to come, continue that highest walkway/road onto other boards? Or make one more board that sets next to this current one so that the highest walkway/road doubles in width. Maybe add couple of buildings so it's more claustrophobic?

I guess MC-1 is quite flat place, the irregular skyline comes from different height of buildings.

And square buildings are ok, you can add extra shapes by adding elevators on the outside walls or maybe a landing pad of some sorts here and there etc?

If this is the only board mate, you've got too many things that are parallel to the edge so I would suggest angling the roadway and the walkway (but not in the same direction). It doesn't have to be a lot.

Also, go with what Poco said about additions to the building side (lift/stair core) etc.

Otherwise, it looks great  :D

To help remove the 'squareness' of the building, how about a couple of tubes* attached to the outside?
They would round it off a little and could be used as grav-chutes in-game.

This one was a trial to see if i could make it work then i was planning on building three more. My only thing with the square buildings is they look manufactured as opposed to handmade. I really don't want that MDF look! :?

It doesn't 'feel' like Megacity One to me! :'(

It is all loose, so it can be placed at any angle. The lifts and pipes are a good idea, i don't like the thought of building ALL those stairs though. Could it be i need to fill every gap on the board too? If Megacity One is that crowded, people would use every nook and cranny?

That is the only bit i DO like! ;)

Here's the reverse side....

Nice! 8) Are you going to have robot versions of Saddam Hussain, Bin Laden and Simon Cowell as sidekicks? I can see a certain point in our game......'Gaze into the fist of Dredd, Hitler!'

I think you might be on to something with the Dyson thing! The odd shapes of these things would make great buildings!......now, how do i get my hands on old, broken hoovers? :?

From the stories you hear most A&Es should have loads they've 'removed'.

With your threads, Cheetors and Mr Saturday you've got me back interested in this (I know I'm supposed to be doing Old West but that will now double as a Cursed Earth settlement (thanks for the idea Paul!)). I've been looking back at the MC1 images we discussed last time and wondering how to achieve those iconic building forms. From talking with Mr Bibbly at BLAM it got me thinking about using carved blue foam to accentuate a basic box structure.
