The most epic airline safety video ever ...

That's probably a rather odd posting title for a fantasy forum, but click on the link, and all will become plain - Air New Zealand's Battle of the Five Armies safety briefing video, launched today:

This is great - and so much more engaging than the usual routine!

I am seriously wondering what New Zealand will do after Peter Jackson stops making Tolkien movies...
the clip is of course funny and refreshing, but for how long?

Speaking as one I'm over the whole thing, I'll still go and see them but won't be buying the DVDs

They did this about 5 years ago after LoTR didn't they? (I know they did, because there's a thread on it here somewhere... )
Nothing like milking a good idea I suppose...  ::)  ;)

I was having a crappy day today until I just watched the video. It's cheered me up quite a bit. I forgot Sylvester McCoy was in the Hobbit. It makes me want to book a holiday to New Zealand just so I can watch it again.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass....and I'm all out of bubblegum. No wait I've just found another pack in my back pocket. Mmm tropical fruit bubblicious.

Bloody briliant. Probably the first safety film I have actually watched properly.
