Horror Screencaps
« on: August 10, 2008, 10:04:42 PM »
Just added a Gothic, Horror, Mad Science Gallery with some screencaps from various movies, with the intent of providing some inspiration for backdrops, clothing colours, etc. for gamers and modellers.  I intend to expand the categories as I go through my DVD's.  Enjoy!  :D

Here's a quick link to the gallery.  Just click on the gallery name.  There are several subcategory folders.  Ignore the '0 pictures' notice and just click deeper.

This kind of thing is a great resource - thanks very much for taking the time to do it!

If I had any idea how to do screen captures, I'd join the fun – I have every episode of the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes, plus the rather excellent Young Sherlock Holmes movie...

The captures are the easy part - takes 2 seconds.  It's cropping borders, resizing, adjusting colours and changing formats that take the time.  o_o
I'm using PowerDVD for my screencaps.  Came installed on my computer when I bought it but my friend gave me an upgrade which made things work better.  There's a free version available but I don't know what it features.

Great idea. I especially like the Sherlock Holmes idea. :)
