Another day at Bickley Towers
« on: November 19, 2014, 02:29:11 PM »
Well, its not until tomorrow, but I thought if I left a place-holder it would remind me to write up the day.

FYI we are playing FIW in the AM and Wings of War after lunch.

Let the dice and the good times roll.

Go away and stop bragging, it's not big and it's not clever to make some of us that jealous. Have a great day.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

I thank you!👍
I'm just setting out the table now for a French & Indian attack on New Cheltenham!
See you tomorrow John!

While John is wheeling his way back from the wastes of Wolverhampton I thought I would post my pics of today's attack on New Cheltenham
Major Joroas Plans His Defence

A Detachment of Regulars man Fort Aston

French Regulars aided by two groups of Courer de Bois advance on the township

Citizens of New Cheltenham Defend the riverbank

French Regulars storm the bridge

New Cheltenham Militia wheel out Old Faithful

Fighting in New Cheltenham at its height

Chief Biccachooks warriors enter the town, "lock up your women!"

Although the French have set fire to the principle town building and lured the regulars from the fort they are assailed by fresh British troops in form of light infantry and rangers, whilst elsewhere the towns people are putting up fierce resistance against the other group of Courer de Bois and Indian warriors

A grand game fought out using modified Astounding Tales, great game, great company and great food, thank you Sue, a splendid repast as always.

There has to be worse ways to spend a day :)

Well, that saved me a long post. I will second what Phil said and add some more pictures.

What makes the scenery even better are all the little details.

The best picture I got of Phil, his talented hand.

Thanks chaps for the kind words for Sue and myself! I had a spiffing day despite the overall ineptitude of Chief Biccachook and his 'braves'! A couple of shots of the game I managed to take ~
New Cheltenham by the early morning light ~

Chief Biccachooks's Last Stand ~

A notable French-Indian success, the firing of Paddock Hall

The good folk of New Cheltenham prepare to do or die ~

Hopefully there'll be a fuller report on my Blog tomorrow.
