RAFM Cthulhu
« on: December 04, 2014, 10:00:29 AM »
Hello everyone

My first post, and I post what inspired me to register.

Back in 1994 or there about I was given a gift of RAFM's Cthulhu figure. It was promptly assembled, primed and the base was sculpted. Then for twenty years it sat on my painting desk gathering dust. In that time I had moved house a dozen times, countries four times and continents twice. Each time a pasty white Cthulhu was unpacked and repacked.

Finally last month I felt the stars were right. It took about 3-4 weekends...

Thanks Don, VonStien remembers!

Great ! Now you have to go hunting all the RAFM cthulu range, and paint them all ! And create some incredible scenery for them too !

 ;)

Oh man that's one of the most brilliant paintjobs I've ever seen on a Cthulhu "mini"ature  :-* :-* :-* He looks so slimy and vibrant! Great job!

Very nice work, I was never sure as to if I wanted to add that model to my collection, I was just never a fan of the RAFM line (still have all the Grenadier models though) but after seeing what you did with him I just may reconsider. Thanks for sharing.
We haul ours to kick theirs.

I've always liked that sculpt, as I feel it really gives ol Cthulhu the proper pulpiness.

Your paint accents that wonderfully.  Love those eyes and the overall gruesomeness of it.

Beautiful painting! Its been 22 years since I sculpted that model and I don't think I've seen a better version.

Bob that's very kind of you, I've been a big fan of your Pulp Figures for many years, I happy I was able to do it justice.
