Making a Hex Mat

Inspired by this genius:

I want to make a similar hex mat for my Aeronef gaming. But does anyone know of somewhere cheap in the UK to follow his advice? It cost him $25, but the best quote I've found so far is £86. Now granted that's for a 6x3 instead of a 3x3, but still - $50 is only £30.

Check you local printers - they often have banners outside offering cheap deals - one in Scunthorpe had £30 for a 6 foot by 2 foot a few months ago.

On-line loads exist: http://www.discountdisplays.co.uk/html/indoor-banners.html do a 1m x 1m for £13 (+ small order surcharge) if you have the artwork

Also try Vistaprint (hunt for a coupon - try save50) - they are currently offering 76cm x 122cm for about £19 - resolution is low 70ish dots per inch

Last place is http://vinylbannersprinting.co.uk/product/vinyl-banner-3-foot-x-6-foot/ - £24 (plus VAT?)
