Great work as always. I love the in between photo - it is really interesting to see how your layering progresses in pictures on one of these pieces.

Awesome job. I prefer these to the studio painting for sure.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This set is very nearly done, I just need to paint the base edges. Normally a very quick job but I have to add LOS markers to these. More pics to follow. Just in case, the insignia isn't freehand! I printed some decals and over painted them to fix them up.

Gorgeous!
 :-* :-* :-*

I have grown used to seeing your wonderful use of greys and fleshtones but now you take it to another level with that vivid blue.

Stunning!

All done!

Again I should point out that the insignia are just decals. I did have to over paint them but just colouring them in isn;t quite the same as doing freehand.  ;)

I tweaked the settings on my camera a bit for these photo's as I'd been having trouble recently getting things into focus and depth of field has always been a problem. I have to thank Agis in a roundabouts way as he'd mentioned in another thread something about changing the lense aperture to improve depth of field and that nudged me into getting my camera manual out. Probably should have read that short paragraph months ago when I bought the damn camera!  lol

Sometime after Christmas I'll be tackling the Nomad portion of the Icestorm set.

Epic.

Not my cup of tea for the figures  in the main - although i do like the toopers in the first batch.

Everyone is going on about the blue - which is very well done, but what blows me away is the smoothness of shading and the tones in the cream and moss kinda colours of their cloth. You could paint me an army in those colours any day!

That leather mini-cape deserves some notice too.
