Ideas for buildings for medieval/Napoleonic and Fantasy!
« on: December 03, 2014, 09:57:55 AM »
Hi guys

I'm looking for ideas and inspiration to make some 28mm buildings for Central Europe eg modern day Germany and Austria) that wouldn't look out of place in a medieval or fantasy setting. I thought about stone buildings as well as maybe timber and daube type construction?

Also want kind of building for a rural/village setting? eg chapel, barn etc

Any idea or pictures to provide inspiration would be great

Cheers
Kieran

Hi Kieran,
i live in Herdecke in the Ruhr valley in Germany and we still have a lot of timber-frame buildings which would not look out of place earlier.
e.g.

Thanks guys very good links.

Steam flunky, that is a lovely area you live in.

Fastolfrus, that Topplerschlösschen building is pretty cool, I think I will have to make one of those.

Any more ideas or pictures of building that someone has made would e good. I'm still working through the 0+ pages of the Ruins of Krappefortt thread here

Cheers
kieran
