A hobby retrospective from someone with far more experience...
« on: December 05, 2014, 02:22:55 PM »
A while back I acquired some painted knights from a fellow here in Chicagoland.  I was really impressed with them and when I got in touch again, he was kind enough to submit to an interview and share pictures of his collection for our club's Blog.

It's a great look back at some earlier times (some of them before I was born) in wargaming, his personal hobby history including an impressive number of painting awards won, development of his painting style and of course a slew of pictures that just beg to be clicked on and viewed in the gallery mode. A few examples:

This is a new kind of post for the blog. The editor and I are very curious to hear what you folks think of this and whether you'd be interested in reading similar posts in the future.

This might sound odd, but I absolutely love the way the dirt is done in that knightly duel maquette in your example.

BEAUTIFUL STUFF & an interesting read! Those minis & the style they are done in bring backs memories of other times & friends long absent from my life. I'm glad to see he's hung on to all his old creations. Having started in this madness in the Winter of '63-'63, I have the Kid by a few years.
