A New Start

Jun 2013
After a long hiatus, I decided it was time to start painting miniatures again. I have already bought some superhero figures from several manufacturers.

Since I haven’t painted anything in over a year, I will start something small first. Actually, it is pretty big in 28mm. See the middle one of the pic below:

Long story short, another year past, I finally have time to paint some of my favorite Supers.

Work in Progress:

Very nice painting on the finished minis. Crisp work with vivid colours = excellent outcomes. :)

Can you give us some info about each? I recognize a few of the models but not all.

I love that camo trousers. The whole mini, in fact. Nice conversión, and lovely brush work.

Special mention for that unexpected worthy one. Looking forward to seeing him painted.

Amazing work there! I feel like mine look like crap compared to yours!

Wow, I must be looking at bits too long and all the super ranges….I almost take this as a challenge to ID them all!

Top Row (left to right): Crossover Everest Body with Dr. E-Vil’s Head, Reaper Lab Mutant, Crossover Defender, Reaper – Captain Griffon body with Dr E-Vil head (squid) (Warhammer Fantasy hammer?), small guy with wings looks like from the 15mm line of Heroes and Villains that RebelMiniatures makes, Crossover Ram Jam (with a Chaos Fantasy head), Crossover Hoplite.

Nice work on those. Probably the best painting on those Crossover minis that I've seen so far.  The shading on the yellow suit is great.

Agreed, you made my figures look the best that I've seen I think.  Just great, crisp paintjobs that accentuate everything good about them.

Thanks for letting us have a peek!

Keep it up, I want to see more :)

Thanks guys!

I love Crossover’s miniatures and the idea of 3 heads per figure is brilliant. You can mix the heads with other figures and make them unique.

Styx figured out most of them.  8)
The small guy with wings is from Superfigs, I cut out a really plastic sheet to make his wings.

I have tons of ideas about my 15mm stuff. Too bad my eyesight is not as good as it used to be, so I switched back to 28mm. Here are some old 15mm stuff

I always loved your 15mm work. You could always try using a magnifier visor.  ;)  (I use one when doing all my modeling from 6mm to 1:48!)  Still, the 28mm work is bonkers good. I love it!

I just picked up the miniature set for the new Sentinel Tactics game. The minis are 28mm tall but true proportions I doubt I'll ever paint them.  :? But the game rocks!

Lovely paint jobs. The colours are super bright and clean, which is perfect for four-colour supers. I am especially impressed with the yellow!
