Artizan Chasseurs
« on: December 13, 2014, 01:15:27 PM »
I was wondering if I could pass Artizans Chasseurs D'Afrique for the uniforms used by the unit during the Mexican Adventure. Anyone have better pictures of these minis?
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

The firearms would certainly be far different. They used muzzle loaders in Mexico.

The answer is no : different weapons, different accoutrements and different horse tack. The false boots on the trousers so typical of the cavalry of the second empire had also disappeared by the early C20th.

There were some differences in the uniform as well, though these will not be immediately apparent in 28mm.

Oh well. Had hoped it would do with a snip of the more modern rifles.
