Finally WW2 Senegalese Tirailleurs
« on: December 16, 2014, 08:46:17 PM »
Warlord teased some pictures today of a new release about to hit to bolster the French players forces! Senegalese Tirailleurs!

I have been wanting them and the pics look great!

Man these rifles are thin. Are they metal or plastic?

Other than that, these are nice. They once again suffer of large-hand-itis, but I guess you could overlook that.

Thanks for letting us know, styx.

I'm not sure I like them... Better than nothing, I guess... the rifles look a bit flimsy though...  :?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

They are good miniatures, but the rifles will become a headache.
Best wishes,
Helen

an other s****  job ! >:(

no one has ever seen a single MAS 38 SMG in the hands of a " common unit " soldier !
( less than 2 thousands were in use in may 1940 , mostly used by the "corps francs", the alpine troops, and some first line regiments , and not colonial troops ones )
and MAS 36 rifle ... shown on the art work !....

i'm dreaming of a range of Perry senegaleses for the western desert ...

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

I can deal with the thin rifles, the MAS is a bit silly but well, we don't know for 100% just based on what was salvaged from the historical records.

Hey guy !

Cool stuff for a forgotten army with a few option to play.

It's nice to see that, they are beautiful, ok the MAS 38 is strange in a senegalais sargeant and so what ?

Thin rifle, maybe but the other french troops have a thin rifles too.

It's a beautiful squad, I'm very impatient to buy some of them with other renforcements !

They look great!
Yup, the rifles may be an issue?

As too the automatic weapon comments..
Not too sure your language is bit over the top, I'd hardly describe it as s**t :o
Not necessary IMO.

If your not happy with the historical accuracy , why not just leave that figure out?
doh! :?
Or better still use all those other vast range of figures out there?

Absolutely love the concept and happy to see them produced. I'm usually the first one to defend taking latitude with body proportions to produce an effect on the gaming table, but I have to admit in this case that those hands compared to the rifles look very large and odd. I will still probably got them…

if i had some use of Senegalese Tirailleurs, i'll buy them ... with their big hands and thin rifles, with those stupid fez instead of helmets, this MAS38 SMG, and the sh***y paintjob with yellow piping and red fez , etc ... french troops are scarce ...

i hope to see released a senegalese machine gun and mortar , without backpack, even with big hands  ;)
i hope to see released motorized troops ( with SMG and MAS 36 )
i hope to see released motorbike troops
i hope to see released command figures

i hope to see released some vehicles really used by the french army ...

The figures unfortunately remind me of...

... which is seriously cringeworthy.

I'm a big Steve Saleh fan but these aren't his best sculpts, I regret to say.
