Kev Adams Orcs
« on: December 18, 2014, 11:27:10 PM »
Hi guys,

I'm interested in putting together a little oldhammer style O&G warband, but unless I win the lotto soon, I'm not going to be using original miniatures.

I know of a few places to get Kev Adams gobbos (crooked claw etc), but can anybody point me in the direction of some orcs that he's sculpted? Or just orcs in a similar style? The more affordable the better, of course. :)

Cheers!

The Heartbreaker range from Ral Partha: http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/heartbreaker-miniatures-c-115/

Most of the orcs and goblins from Black Tree Design were sculpted by Kev Adams:  http://www.blacktreedesign.com/northamerica/home.php?cat=2309
For BTD, I bet after Christmas they will all be 50% off with free shipping or something like that...

4A miniatures do some really, really nice swamp/aquatic goblins: http://www.fouraminiatures.com/page2.htm

White Knight does landsknecht-style goblins, by Kev Adams: http://whiteknightminiatureimperium.blogspot.ca/search/label/Getting%20Some%20Goblins

It's not that hard to find OOP metal greenskins at reasonable prices if you are patient on ebay.  From the stores above, you are still paying like $3-4 apiece for the metals nowadays anyway.  Best of luck with your search!

Renegade.

+1

These are probably my favourite orcs and I'm glad them available again. I have several units of these painted and at least one stashed away for painting at some future point.

Foundry are about to release a large catalogue of orcs and goblins. If you contact them direct they have the packs but not on their website at present

Yes they will, I picked up 9 ones I hadnt seen before last week on an off chance visit to their shop in Newark. There were also lots of dwarf variations. I think they are waiting for the new kev adams orcs and gobbos to be cast up and then push fatansy stuff through their new company Warmonger miniatures. I saw lots of things in their store I hadnt seen before it was a real treasure trove.

Cost wise I think they wont be cheap, the renaissance orcs were £7 a pop. Knowing foundry though they may have unit deals and such

Woooooooooooo-hoooooooooo! I am so glad I saw this thread, I didn't know Renegade were back in business. I have been taunted by the unavailability of their Orcs and Anglo-Saxons for the past year.

Happy now. :D

Thanks guys, some really good suggestions. The renegade ones are my favourites, but to get the minimum of 20 needed for WHFB 3rd ed would be eye-wateringly expensive :(

Mo, I'll send you a PM!
