Thank You.

It's been a while, but I have finished the last five Gripping Beast Poilu on the painting table.

Following on from the earlier Frenchmen.

I have not done any meaningful painting for about ten weeks so when chum James bought me a present on Friday it was just the kick up the arse I needed.

The German Command and Supports in gasmask had been basecoated weeks ago, I did the gun and crew from scratch yesterday.

As well as the French and Germans above, this weekend I also painted a FT-17 that I picked up from 1st Corps at the recent Partizan show. Although it's not suitable for our ongoing Verdun 1916 games I plan to use it in our later war games and it may also do some duty in our Spanish Civil War games.

A lovely model that is easy to assemble and a joy to paint.

It comes with both 37mm gun and Hotchkiss machine-gun options.

Wonderful work.  I love how you've given the German field gun a full crew.

Thanks all.

I've taken a break from painting WWI this week and have been doing SCW and El Cid stuff. Will post up later.

Lovely painting on the FT-17! But somehow the proportions of it just don't look right :-/

Lots of very nice figures, and heavier stuff.

I do particularly like the Chasseurs
